Vehicle Design

“Sarah, I can’t draw vehicles,” is the most common unspoken confession I see in people’s eyes when we get to this concept specialty. You know what, I can’t either! That’s why we’re here. So we can learn. Even if you don’t have a mechanical eye or a technical approach, you can still get better. What to all vehicles do? Move. Where do they move? On the ground, underground, across the sea and air! Into space! If you think about it, every vehicle has a body. And then it has either wings or wheels or hull and keel. At the most primitive level, we can all draw circle shapes, triangle shapes, and rectangles, right? Add curves to the pointed shapes, and you’ll start getting the rudimentary forms of vehicles themselves. Ask any vehicle design artist, and they will tell you the same.
