Quit? Technically no, but possibly yes. Sit down. Let’s talk.
So, reasons why you should quit are simple: you are largely unhappy, someone is forcing you to do this and it’s just not you, you feel massive waves of anxiety or confusion whenever you try to work on it. I would never tell you to keep going in this type of situation.
But if you’re discouraged, I’m gonna tell you, keep going.
And if you’re just stuck, I’m gonna say, don’t quit.
Is it a money problem? Like you are in a lot of debt? Then, maybe. If you don’t have enough to keep your IP going in a healthy direction, there is only so far you can go before something breaks financially. But this is for a company, not a personal IP.
Personal IPs you can quit would be if you were in a former relationship and you are no longer in that relationship, and that IP is intricately and intimately entwined with that former person, then quit.
If you are starting a new relationship with someone, and you have faithfully brought that IP that is so entwined with your former partner, and your new partner asks you to quit, then quit for the health of your new relationship.
There are not a lot of reasons where we legitimately quit.
9 times out of 10, I will tell you, don’t quit. Keep going.
But if you are a case of that 1, then you may.
Just know that when you quit one IP, you will feel a gaping hole where you always worked on that one, so consider, in time, starting a newer, more updated and truer IP to who you are now.
